Cats Tuesday: Hiking with Buddy

Spring Thaw! - 26, originally uploaded by meeyauw.

Buddy and I went out to my woods last week to see how everything was doing after the winter. It's doing great! Some more trees came down in heavy snow, and I found another hollow tree nest and undefined tracks. The brooks were running high and were beautiful. Buddy had great fun going up and down trees and I had great fun with the camera. Hiking is a new adventure with Buddy! I made a short little video of Buddy and one brook that you may watch here if you like. I will be visiting each of you late tonight after class. Thank you for stopping by today and thank you for your encouragement while I was sick last week!

  1. I visited your site. I am so homesick now for the woods and the midwest. I also miss having a place for a cat to go outdoors with me. I now live in an apartment and Gretchen is forever an inside cat. Before now, all my other cats were inside/outside cats.
Thanks for visiting my site. I'm just learning how to do all of this stuff.

  2. Unfortunately I couldn't see the video I don't know why, but still, it's so nice to walk with a cat. When I walk in our street, Arthur always follows me too and hides behind the bushes and suddenly jumps to my feet and when I stop to chat with somebody he sits down and waits.

  3. Buddy, you are a very brave and adventurous cat! I'm only allowed out on a harness or in my stoller. The woods look like a fun place to visit. :)

  4. Oscar likes walking around the property too, exploring smells and chasing various bugs. Fortunately we don't get snow here, so he can outside all year round.

  5. I love the woods and all the wonderful photo opportunities there. So would our cats, or at least one of them. The others would be too overwhelmed by the vast space.

Buddy is one very well behaved kitty there. Thanks for stopping by.

  6. I like Buddy. He behaves like my babies going through the woods. I love to watch them show off for us and explore everything.

Excellent photo....and the local place above looks like my kind of joint! Sounds like good stuff there!

  8. Wow what a great place to hike with Buddy. That video was great, there's something soothing about the sound of rushing water. Especially water from the spring thaw... winter's finally gone...fingers crossed... Enjoy your walks with Buddy.
