There are some photos of the fires in Greece at Third Eye Dumb! that I just found. I have been a couple of days late going through my feeds; these photos were posted August 27.
Hey I know someone who's going on holiday to Greece from Canada... (typical me the name escapes me it is a blog friend tho)... maybe you know them..?? Anyway I didn't want to put too much of a downer on their trip (didn't know if they'd heard of the fires after all we get the news here in Britain bc it's across Europe, know what I mean?).... anyway merifully the actual areas hit were "relatively" small... but ... well the devastation... I remember in 1976 which was a massive drought year there hasn't been anything like it since in this country trekking with my family (I was 4!) across this blackened moonscape of burnt heath... nasty... also weeks later it was STILL HOT inside... the ground was radiating the heat... v odd
